The Architecture of Heath + Wellness Certificate Program

The School offers a Certificate in The Architecture of Health and Wellness to qualifying graduates. The certificate requires completion of the Health and Wellness studio (808), The Internship (807), and 12 hours of graduate credit from the following courses to satisfy specific curricular requirements for this academic program.

ARCH 730 (3) Environmental Psychology of Health and Wellness (Introduction to research methods and theory of healthy environments)

ARCH 731 (3) Architecture of Health;(Introduction to healthcare facilities and systems)

ARCH 807 (6) Health & Wellness Internship (Seven-month paid internship in architectural firm specializing in healthcare planning and design)

ARCH 808 (6) Health & Wellness Capstone Studio (Final studio in the Master of Architecture curriculum)

Students in the professional M.Arch. program would enroll in ARCH 731 as fourth-year students and complete the certificate requirements by taking ARCH 807 and 808. Students from outside the School could take ARCH 730 and 731 and then enroll in either ARCH 807 or 808 to complete an internship or research project. Narrative regarding the certificate program.
